1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Jacob & Sons Industrial Supplies website or requesting a quotation, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations in South Africa.
2. Quotations and Pricing
- Validity: All technical quotes are valid for a period of 14 days from the date of issue.
- Price Fluctuations: Due to the nature of industrial manufacturing and materials (steel, specialized polymers), prices are subject to change if the order is placed outside the validity period.
- VAT: All prices quoted are subject to South African VAT unless otherwise specified.
3. Orders and Lead Times
- Order Confirmation: An order is only considered “Active” once a formal Purchase Order (PO) is received or a deposit is cleared.
- Lead Times: We provide estimated delivery dates in good faith. However, Jacob & Sons is not liable for delays caused by manufacturer backlogs or international shipping disruptions for specialized components.
4. Payment Terms
- Standard Terms: Payment is required in full prior to the dispatch of goods unless a prior credit agreement is in place.
- Ownership: Ownership of all industrial hardware remains with Jacob & Sons until the invoice is settled in full.
5. Delivery and Risk
- Site Delivery: We deliver to sites across South Africa. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the delivery site is accessible for heavy-duty logistics vehicles.
- Transfer of Risk: Risk of loss or damage passes to the client upon delivery to the specified site or collection by the client’s courier.
6. Returns and Warranty
- Technical Specs: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the technical specifications (e.g., valve pressure ratings, pump flow rates) meet their site requirements before ordering.
- Restocking Fee: Returns on correctly supplied items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
- Manufacturer Warranty: All products carry the standard manufacturer’s warranty. Jacob & Sons will facilitate warranty claims but is not responsible for damages caused by incorrect installation or misuse.
7. Limitation of Liability
Jacob & Sons shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of production or profit) resulting from equipment failure or delivery delays.
